The announcement of the PS5 for the end of this year 2020 has made us begin to lose patience to know once and for all what will be the new creation of Sony.
With this, there is also enough echo to know what will be the games that will mark that first generation. And despite there are many rumors, to this day some official titles are already known and that they enjoy enough audience to take a piece of the pie in the competitive arena. These are 5 of the most anticipated titles.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
As expected, the games belonging to the Call of Duty saga will be present on the red carpet of video games that will arrive with a VIP pass to the new world of the PS5. One of the most striking elements is that be a possible reboot of the Black Ops saga, putting aside those futuristic scenarios to return to those times of the Cold War.
As is experienced in Modern Warfare, this new installment will try to show a real perspective of what happens in the wars on which the game itself is based, thus teaching the crudest and cruelest aspects experienced by the combatants. An alleged gameplay of the pre-alpha version of the video game went viral, and according to certain media it is only a matter of time until its presentation to the whole world is official.
Watch Dogs: Legion
The third installment in the Watch Dogs series is giving a lot to talk about in recent days. Without having any continuity with the first two games of the saga, it is known that the scenario takes place within an open world, this being a fictional representation of London, while on the other hand the plot as such targets the DedSec hacker group, who fight the regime that has prostrated in the United Kingdom.
It promises to be a highly rated video game just like its predecessors, and as for its release date, It was expected to come out on May 6, but in the month of October 2019, Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs: Legion will be released for a date that is not yet concrete during its fiscal year 2021.
Gods and Monsters
This Ubisoft game developed by the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was presented at E3 2019 as a world of adventure in which the fantasy theme is committed while also showing an animated world. Due to this, some comparisons have been made to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has a structure quite similar to this title.
Having a mythological setting, the organization has tried to present an action and adventure video game but without going too far with respect to its strong content, for which the developers themselves described it as a Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with asteroids. There is no specific release date, but this game is expected to go on sale in the first quarter of next year, if not sooner.
Rainbow six quarantine
Another video game that is eagerly awaiting release is the upcoming Rainbow Six Quarantine. The sale was supposed to go out before April of this year, however now news comes that this can only happen before March 2021. Entering matter as such, players must fight a strange parasite of alien origin that transforms all humans into monsters.
Clearly the work team has gone out of its comfort zone since it is a topic that little has been seen in this video game saga. Let’s wait to see what this cooperative shooter has to offer.
Outriders
Last but not least, we find Outriders, an intergenerational title that is developed by the People Can Fly team, a working group that I work together with Epic Games to create Fortnite, for example. Now they come up with this ambitious solo project, which is basically a shooter with certain RPG elements set in a world on the brink of extinction. To be a video game to be released in late 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
