Cities are called to reinvent themselves to promote alternative and sustainable means of transport in the face of the systematic use of private vehicles, above all, due to the confinement that much of the world has suffered for months as a result of the coronavirus pandemic Covid-19.
And given the greater interest in the use of electric bicycles as part of these alternatives, Fiido is preparing to launch an interesting model that should not leave anyone indifferent, given its performance.
We talk about new Fiido D11, which initially came through a crowdfunding campaign through the Indiegogo platform, highlighting its incredible autonomy, allowing you to travel up to 100km per charge.
The feat is possible thanks to his removable battery, which has a power of 250W, and that allows traveling through the city at a speed of up to 25 km / h, being perfectly camouflaged in the center tube of the bike’s own design, a design that has earned him an award from the Red Dot Awards for its modernity and minimalism.
Also, Fiido D11 is an electric bike ultra light, only 12.9 kg, with its frame made of aluminum, which has a one-step folding mechanism, facilitating its transport by any means possible.
It has a system of Shimano seven-speed transmission, which allows adaptation to the different scenarios that may occur in the city, and with three levels of pedal assist in fully electric mode.
It also integrates LED lights, disc brakes on the 20 ″ front and rear wheels, and internal cables. Its final price is expected to be about $ 1,299, although sponsors will be able to purchase it at a price of about $ 799 during the campaign.
It will be a matter of waiting for the campaign to get under way, with crowdfunding being one way in which the company has already been able to offer several of its previous models.
