Canon presents Kit to transform cameras into webcams

Those who do not have a webcam on their computer have probably already used their mobile with some special software. It is useful, although it is not very intuitive and few know how to do it. In fact the result is not as good as buying a decent webcam, but if you can’t, it always helps.

The fact is that there is another option: transform the reflex camera into a webcam. The image quality will be impressive, and if we already have a Canon that has cost hundreds of euros, it will be good to amortize it, right?

That is what the company has thought with the launch of a kit that transforms a reflex camera into a webcam, although it is not suitable for any reflex camera.

Compatible with recent Canon, DSLR or mirrorless cameras, the kit will include a USB cable to connect the camera to the computer (either desktop or laptop), a battery accessory, and a power cord to keep the Canon camera powered on. continually. It does not include a tripod, so the position must be made with what we have at home.

There will be three versions of the kit. Two of them will cost $ 90 each, one for the EOS M cameras (M50, M50 Mark II, and M200) and one for the EOS Rebel cameras (Rebel T3, T5, T6, and T7). The most expensive kit, which works with EOS RP cameras, will be priced at $ 159.99.

You can see the details in the video above, as well as in this link, where orders are already accepted before launch.

The point is … even if you have a Canon, will you spend almost 100 dollars to transform it into a webcam or will you invest that money in a webcam itself?
