Just take a walk through the streets of cities and shopping malls to see that the Christmas holidays are, as they say, just around the corner. And Cortana, Microsoft's personal digital assistant, wants to be present to help with some tasks. That is why from now on it has the new list ability, being able to create new lists to add items to existing lists, offering access to them from any device.
Mind you, the new skill is limited only to the United States and only to the English language. Regarding the availability of the new skill on mobile devices, it is found only for Android devices 4.4 or higher, iPhone since version 8.0 or higher, and Windows 10 in the United States. In this way, those lucky enough to be able to access the new skill will be able to manage their lists of meals, gifts, accessories for the house, among many other things.
It is questionable that Cortana now has support for lists and in a geographically very limited way, as it does with many other abilities, despite the fact that Cortana is already present in many countries. In fact, as pointed out by VentureBeat, the new Google assistant, who made an appearance with the launch of the Pxel phones, already had support for the lists from the beginning with more expanded geographic support.
On the other hand, and going back to Cortana, now Microsoft's personal digital assistant has support for Wunderlist, the excellent list management application that Microsoft acquired at the beginning of the summer of last year. According to Microsoft, those who link Cortana with their Wunderlist user accounts will have the possibility to add due dates to their tasks and create shared lists in the application itself.
