The first time we talked about Neuralink, Elon Musk’s brain chip company, was in 2017, and they are still designing the device to be surgically implanted in the human skull, a brain-computer interface (BCI) that could bring many advantages, but we don’t know which ones.
Now good Elon claims that he will be able to play with hormones and be able to stimulate the areas responsible for pleasure, or even make us fall in love.
Musk at first said it would include a direct thought-to-action interface, like a kind of keyboard that is activated by thought, or that offers control of at least some of the natural motor functions. Later he stated that he would be able to solve brain and spinal injuries and to treat mental illnesses and cognitive disorders.
Do you think @neuralink will be able to stop rapid firing, when needed, in neural networks, for patients with OCD? Possibly even stimulate the release of oxytocin, serotonin, and other chemicals when needed? Will it be able to artificially work the neuron & synapses like that?

The downside is that we don’t have enough brain knowledge to do that, so we assume Elon Musk is talking very long term (he hasn’t specified how much). What it does say is that we can listen to music directly from the chip:
If we implement neuralink – can we listen to music directly from our chips? Great feature. https://t.co/RwVLnS5JbL

With the fear that it could be hacked and that hackers could control other people by accessing the brain chip, or create universal orgasms at the same time, at the moment we have little information about what it can or cannot do, but we do know one thing: they will announce news on the August 28.
