As many of you may know, Google Maps for iOS or Android shows a exclusive tab with route information using alternatives such as Uber and Ola (according to local availability), so that we can know in advance the price and the time it will take us to reach our destination if we opt for the use of any of these options. The objective of this is that we can compare the information with that shown in the tabs for the same journey by car, on foot or by public transport.
As we have been able to read in one of the Google blogs, the technology giant has decided that from now on will start displaying such information also on the app from Google or in the search engine for mobile devices. Depending on the company, information about the different companies available, such as fare or estimated commute time, will be displayed.
Thus, we will only have to click on the one that interests us the most to request a collection (with the advantage that the data about our location and destination are already filled in). Without a doubt, this is an interesting function, since there may be users who do not have Google Maps installed on their devices for different reasons. Despite the fact that this novelty has been announced by Google India, it seems that it is also available in other countries, so it is a matter of time that it spreads throughout the world.
