And after a long wait, Google finally brings the dark theme to its Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps.
Some users noticed this novelty last week, but now it is starting to be officially rolled out to everyone on Android.
To activate the dark theme in any of the apps it is only necessary to go to Settings and select the option from Choose a theme. You will see the options of Light, Dark or System Default.
If you use the last option you will have the advantage of using the mobile settings to program when the dark mode should be activated, taking into account that it will be applied throughout the system. For example, you can schedule the dark theme to turn on when it gets dark and turn off when you arrive in the morning.
This way, you won’t have to activate the apps manually. And if you don’t like that dynamic, you can apply a different configuration for each application by following the steps we mentioned before. One detail that has been taken into account for users who activate the dark mode is to provide a preview of any document with the light theme.
That is, if the user wants to take a final look at his document with a clear theme, he does not need to go to the app settings to change the theme. Simply select the light theme view from the document menu.
This novelty is an extra that is offered to users who prefer to opt for this mode when working from the mobile in low light. And of course, it is also a bonus for those who take advantage of all the mobile options to save the device’s battery.
