Google Docs, Google’s online document creation and editing platform, wants to expand its assisted writing tools, based on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, to other different languages, starting with Spanish, one of the most widely used languages. Worldwide.
Get started today with your grammar recommendation tool, which, despite the improvements made, has so far only supported writing documents in English.
From now on, this situation changes with the arrival of support to Spanish, being already prepared to launch grammar suggestions to users who are writing their documents in this language.
Users will benefit from the innovative translation and neural network technologies, the latter launched at the beginning of the year, integrated in this tool, which also gains the ability to automatically detect when the writing is switched between Spanish and English to offer the corresponding grammar suggestions.
But by the end of the year, Google intends to extend Spanish to automatic corrections and Smart Compose, also integrated in Docs but only in English.
The first will help prevent errors from being made in the writing of the texts, being able to automatically correct all those errors that may occur, while the second tool, well known for being also present in GMail, will help to be faster and more efficient in writing the texts, avoiding grammatical and spelling errors along the way, including the use of repetitive words, achieving almost professional-level results.
The downside is that for now G Suite users will be able to enjoy these tools in Spanish in Docs, although the company plans that later, in the future, end users and educational centers may benefit, although at the moment it has not set no arrival date.
In addition, Google is also working to expand its Docs-assisted writing tools into more different languages.
