Google announced a new series of trainings under the Google News Initiative designed for journalists.
These free online trainings will take place this month live on YouTube. They cover different topics that are based on the use of digital tools for research, data collection and storytelling.
Attendees will be able to ask questions for instructors to answer live during the broadcast. And of course, they can also interact with the rest of the attendees through YouTube chat.
The new Google online trainings:
You do not need to register to view these trainings. They just have to follow the link that will take them to YouTube where they will find the information of the day and time of the transmissions. They can save the page in browser bookmarks or activate a reminder on YouTube.
Each broadcast takes place on different days, from July 6 to 10. Although this initiative is designed for journalism professionals, any interested user will be able to view the transmissions from YouTube.
In addition to this proposal from Google, there are also a number of educational options open to start this month, as we share in our list of free online courses for July. They will find courses to learn programming and app development, as well as options for those who work with data.
