Google Photos add a new way to search for photos within our account or relive those moments captured in videos.
Although you already have several filters and tags from the search engine to find any photo, you plan to add a new map to relive the places we have visited using the location data.
If you have activated the location, Google Photos can show you on a map the location of the photos individually, and you can even see how you have traveled from A to B in a specific album. And in the near future I will also be able to use the location to make it easier for you to search for photos.
As mentioned by Xda Developers, all the locations of the photos that we have in our account will be shown on a map, both the ones we have uploaded from the camera and those that other users have shared and we have saved in our library.
We will only have to scroll through the map looking for a precise location or selecting some of the regions marked with heat maps. Selecting a location on the map will display all the photos and videos belonging to that location at the bottom. And of course, each photo will have the location information in detail and with its integrated map.
So if you want to relive the vacations you’ve taken in recent years or remember those weekend getaways, you can use this new feature that seems to be called Explore Map. At the moment, this option is only available to a small group of users, so we will have to wait for Google to implement it to everyone in one of the next versions of Google Photos.
