You will no longer have to use third-party applications to create collages for Stories. Now Instagram allows you to upload multiple photos in each story.
This update is possible thanks to the integration of the functions of Layout, the well-known independent Instagram app for creating collages.
So now you will find Layout among the Instagram camera options that allows you to add up to 6 photos in the same story, as you see in the image. And of course, you can give the collage the design you want, depending on the number of photographs you want to include, either taking it from the gallery or using the camera. You can see an example in the collage shared by Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram.
This new option allows you to create up to eight compositions and you can add texts, GIFs, effects and stickers. So you can be as creative as you like with your collage. It can simply be a way to share nice photos or use a sequence to tell a little story.
One detail to keep in mind is that any type of editing you want to add to the photographs, to enhance the collage, you will have to do it once you have created it. It is a simple and easy to implement dynamic.
Although Layout has been integrated into Instagram, the app continues to function as a separate option that you can download from the Apple Store or Google Play. In this case, the functions are much more complete and also the possibilities of combinations.
For example, in the Layout app you can use up to 9 photos to create your collage, resize, edit and share them on different social networks. So now you will have two official proposals to share collages in your stories with similar dynamics, but with different options.
