It is possible that some of you, like us, have come across two rows of stories on your Instagram account. This is a test that is being carried out among some users to highlight what is currently standing out the most in said social network: The stories.
About half of Instagram users, or 500 million people, interact with Stories on a daily basis. That’s almost double the entire daily active user base of all of Snapchat, who popularized the Stories format in the first place.
In this test we can see two rows of Stories, but there is a lower button to see this enlarged area, as shown in the upper screenshot.
We saw the function two weeks ago, but it disappeared yesterday with a message thanking us and asking to participate in a survey. In it they ask questions of all kinds, as you can see in this other screenshot:
In the survey they ask many questions about privacy, messaging and how to use Instagram, making it clear that they want to make Instagram the most powerful messaging network on the market, so it makes us suspect that they are thinking of some kind of integration with WhatsApp so as not to have two products doing the same thing.
We do not know if the test of the Instagram ranks will show up among all users or if it has been just a test without much success. Be that as it may, we will soon find out.
