Instagram launched their Stories with the aim of eating up Snapchat, and apparently it is succeeding.
The section, highlighted with small circles at the top of our account, shows short stories of the people we follow, content that disappears after 24 hours. These stories follow a philosophy very similar to that of snapchat, which sees how its great idea is being cloned by many other giants as time passes.
Now on Instagram they announce that they will show these stories in the Explore section, a section visited by 100 million people every day, thus helping to discover new accounts very active in the creation of these new stories.
The goal is to be able to find stories of people that we do not follow, that are related to our tastes or that stand out for their creativity, which will help more and more people to use this resource to communicate.
They have not given details on how the stories will be selected in that section, although there will surely be a team of moderators to help determine what is worth showing to more or less people.
A new great step to continue burying Snapchat in its own terrain, with a feature that will be available starting today on iOS and Android.
