With the aim of keeping children entertained, at least until August 31, Google has announced that it will offer more than 100 movies for free on its YouTube Kids app.
They indicate that they want to keep our children interested, enriched and entertained after school, and for that they will begin to show everything from popular family and special films such as Baby Shark and Pinkfong and Masha And The Bear, to the best animated shorts, as the winner of the Oscar Hair Love and a wide variety of educational specials, including Sesame Street’s Elmo’s World News, produced in collaboration with the Lego Foundation, and selections from BBC Studios’ hit series Hey Duggee.
They will be every Monday from today, for the next five weeks, with special content in the Shows category of the application, such as individual videos and playlists, although they have not yet specified the list of countries or the languages โโof the content.
As part of this initiative, they will premiere Spookiz, a new film produced by Wildbrain in collaboration with the South Korean studio Keyring Studios, exclusively on YouTube Kids.
They will continue to host monthly themes on YouTube Kids, including Reading Month with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and readings with Oprah Winfrey, Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek, and James Bond actress Michelle Yeoh of StorylineOnline.
The YouTube Kids application was created with children under 13 in mind, although I have to admit that I have been hooked on many occasions.
