It is a free option that is added to a select group of Samsung devices, without the need to install any third-party applications.
New option to listen to podcasts from Samsung devices
We have already seen that different streaming platforms and services have turned their attention to podcasts in recent times. For example, Spotify has based much of its strategy on adding original and exclusive content to podcasts, and functions that focus the attention of users on this content.
But if you are not fans of this type of streaming services, or you do not have any app defined to play podcasts, you should not worry if you have a Samsung mobile. Yes, Samsung is adding a section and a podcast player in one of its most popular applications.
You will find this in what we used to know as Samsung Daily, which gathers, as if it were an entertainment center, all the information that may interest you … articles, games, television programs, movies, news, music, etc. An option that you find by sliding the Home screen to see all the suggestions of Samsung Free.
The Listen tab brings together all the recommendations in podcasts from publishers around the world on different topics, for example, sports, culture, news, comedy, etc. At the moment, this new dynamic will be implemented in the Samsung Galaxy S21, S20, S10, Note 20 and Note 10, as mentioned in Android Police. The only requirement to enjoy this new section is to log in with your Samsung account from the application.
While you will not have all the content that podcast platforms can offer you, you will have an interesting selection of episodes to discover and listen to without relying on third-party applications.
