In these months, different initiatives have emerged for users to share games remotely with their friends and family. Guess the word, drawings, puzzles, among many other proposals to play online in a group.
And now a new Google experiment is added: a shared piano. You can make music with your friends on this piano online from your mobile or laptop thanks to the web browser.
The process is as simple as opening the web browser in Shared Piano, creating a room to invite your friends via a link, and you’re done. Following this dynamic, you can invite up to 10 people per meeting. It is not necessary for any of the participants to install anything on their devices, it is not even necessary to sign in with a Google account.
As your friends join the session you will see animal emoticons added to identify them. To play the virtual piano you can use the keyboard of the laptop, the mouse or a MIDI keyboard. And of course, it works on a touch screen.

If you look for the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen you will see that you can choose between different instruments, such as drums, string instruments, marimba, among others. And it also gives you the option to enable on-screen notes to be displayed as you play music with your friends.
A simple and free tool to improvise a collaborative music session with your friends, or give basic music lessons from a distance. It works with different web browsers and devices, so you will not have problems with your guests.
