PlayMemories Online, Sony’s new offer to store photos in the cloud

There are only a few days left to enter the month of May and we already have a new date to pay attention to. This is May 25, the day chosen by Sony for the launch of its new service called PlayMemories Online, which basically is a new cloud-based service in which a space of 5 GB will be offered free of charge to users specially dedicated for the storage of photographs.

PlayMemories Online will allow any user to upload their photos and they will be synchronized so that they can be made available to other devices, including televisions and digital frames. But also, the photos can be shared privately to other users, so that if a family takes pictures of any event, they can share them with other family members so that they can see them from their own devices.

In addition, SONY will release photo editing software for its consoles, which will allow users to edit photos to save them back to the service itself. There will also be applications for Windows and Mac desktop systems, and also an application for mobile systems.

We leave you with a video demonstration of this service:
