PlayStation Network will improve your security by incorporating two-step verification

As you already know, Internet security threats are one of the biggest problems companies face online, which must guarantee the privacy of their customers' data at all times. Everything seems to indicate that the PlayStation Network team is working on improving the security of the video game platform and will soon incorporate two-step verification, something that alternatives such as Xbox Live have already offered since 2013.

Thanks to this movement very soon it will be much more difficult for anyone to access external accounts of PlayStation Network, something to reassure users of the service. At the moment it is unknown what the second verification factor will be, although everything points to the fact that we will receive an SMS with a code to enter when we first log into a new device.

Undoubtedly, this is a most important move by Sony, especially if we consider that five years ago PlayStation Network was the victim of an attack in which the personal data of millions of platform users were compromised. For now we will stay tuned until we know the official date when this new feature will be available to users of the video game platform.
