If we want more entertainment, Plex will offer us more entertainment options. The offer of content on demand, between films and television programs, launched at the end of last year, and which now has more than 14,000 titles available, now comes the launch of more than 80 live TV channels, of all kinds of genres, completely free.
With this new offering, Plex faces many platforms that already offer a variety of live television channels, among which are cable television services, or even YouTube TV, which require a monthly fee to enjoy television. they, although in return they offer a more solid offer of content.
And is that Plex has gone from being a software for the transmission of locally hosted content, competing with XMBC, now called Kodi, to become a complete multimedia entertainment center, allowing you to enjoy both the content hosted locally and the content from external sources, now returning the experience of navigating between channels to select the one that offers interesting content at that time.
Live TV channels include Reuters for news, Toon Goggles for children’s content, Tastemade for cooking shows, or even Fubo Sports Network for sports, and IGN TV for e-sports.
Plex points out that these contents are reaching more than 220 countries where Plex is present, and promises that in the future new television channels will arrive, likewise, under a diversity of genres to cover all the tastes and emotions of the users.
Of course, although it is bringing back the zapping, continue to make the use of television antennas obsolete, taking into account that everything goes through the Internet. All that remains is to prepare for the next thing they may possibly launch in the future so that we are not caught off guard.
I would not be surprised if they launch games in the future but … better wait for the next moves.
