PocketBook, a Swiss manufacturer of e-book reading devices, is introducing the first reader in Europe capable of offering e-book content in color. Is about PocketBook Color, which also stands out for being one of the devices that supports the most formats on the market.
Alongside PocketBook Color, the company is introducing PocketBook Touch Lux 5, the device for reading electronic books focused mainly on comfort and visual protection. Both devices now come at a price of 199 euros and 125 euros respectively.
Of the two new devices presented by PocketBook especially stands out PocketBook Color for being the first device in Europe capable of offering the contents of electronic books in color. In this regard, the company is using ePaper E Ink Print Color technology to bring color content to the new E Ink Kaleido display, capable of offering up to 4096 colors.
Likewise, it has a black and white mode to offer the contents of the electronic books in HD quality at 300 dpi. In any case, users will get a comfortable experience for reading their favorite e-books. But for those who want to listen to them, the new device has a function that allows convert text content to speech, with support for 16 different languages.
Likewise, this device supports up to 6 different sound formats, ideal for listening to audiobooks or, if you also want, music. In this sense, they have 16 GB of internal storage expandable to 32 GB through memory cards. It also supports some cloud-based services for more content.
And thanks to the Bluetooth connectivity, you can listen to the content through wireless headphones they have, or through bluetooth speakers. And thanks to its 1900 mAh battery, it will have a autonomy of a full month, although thanks to the sleep mode, you can save battery when the cover is closed.
This device is comfortable to hold and can be easily carried anywhere, without taking up much space, thanks to its weight of only 160 grams.
But PocketBook Touch Lux 5 It also has a lot to show for it, which is why it has a 6 ″ E Ink Carta HD anti-glare display, with the function SMARTlight Integrated to allow an optimal and safe reading, with an automatic mode for adjusting the brightness and color temperature, although users can make these adjustments manually, and even save them.
It has 8 GB of internal storage expandable to 32 GB via memory cards, supports 19 book formats and 4 graphic formats, its battery provides more than a full month of autonomy per charge, and weighs only 155 grams.
