POCO returns to shake the high range with the quality / price ratio of the new POCO F3

The POCO phone brand is once again revolutionizing the high-end with the official launch of the POCO F3, successor to the Poco F2 Pro, launched last year, bringing the high-end closer to more people due to its price content.

Broadly speaking, this model, which comes in two variants of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage, bets on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G, presented in mid-January, a SoC manufactured in a 7-nanometer process designed for high-end phones. with more affordable claims, as in this model, which is also one of the first models to have this SoC on the market, bringing compatibility with 5G networks, among other benefits.

With LiquidCool 1.0 Plus cooling technology, this model can continue to operate at suitable temperatures over time, even for more demanding operations such as gaming.

In POCO they have listened to the users and another of its key characteristics is its E4 AMOLED FullHD + screen of 6.67 ″, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch screen of 360 Hz.

In addition to being compatible with the HDR10 + standard, it is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1300 nits, maintaining an average of 900 nits in general conditions thanks to its 360 light sensor.

The company also explains that it has one of the smallest perforations in the screen for the front camera on the market, and this time it is committed to bringing the fingerprint sensor to one side of the device against the trend of integrating it underneath the device. the screen.

A normal photographic section

In the photographic section, the front camera has a 20MP sensor and an aperture f / 2.45, while the configuration of the rear cameras, whose module design resembles that of the Xiaomi Mi 11, has a main camera with a Sony IMX 582 sensor. 48MP (f / 1.79), followed by an 8MP wide-angle camera (f / 2.2) and 119 angle of view, and a 5MP telemacro camera (f / 2.4).

Speaking of multimedia aspects, this model also houses stereo speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos, in addition to incorporating three microphones that allow the capture of sound more clearly by reducing ambient noise.

There will be no lack of other features required in full 2021 such as NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6 connectivity, in addition to also having infrared. The Poco F3 will have a dual nanoSIM tray, something already common in the market, although this model does not allow the expansion of its storage capacity through microSD cards.

In order to function, the new POCO F3 has a 4,520 mAh battery with support for a 33W fast charging system, although it is not compatible with wireless charging. Regarding the operating system, it will come with Android 11 with the Poco Launcher customization layer based on MIUI 12.

The model with 6 / 128GB will be at an official price of 349 euros, while the model with 8 / 256GB will have an official price of 399 euros, although in the next few days they will go on sale at promotional prices that those interested can know at the Poco Espaa website.

Users will also be able to choose the desired color variant from among these three options: arctic white, night black and ocean blue, with glass finishes protected with Gorilla Glass 5.

No Pro variant in sight, for now

Something is missing? At the moment there are no indications that there is a Pro version, although given the characteristics of this model, the same as the new Redmi K40, it should not be ruled out that at some future time some of them will improve under a Pro version, both at the level of processor and in the main camera, as it currently exists also with the Redmi 40 Pro, if it is based on it.

We will see that LITTLE can bring us in the future.
