Popcorn Time receives support from Airplay and Chromecast, and will soon have an iOS version

Popcorn Time has fallen for the first time. How is this possible?

The original creators of Popcorn Time may have abandoned their work, but that doesn’t mean the project has stopped. As we know, since then several versions based on the same code were born, although in the end there are only those that add original functions, such as a redesign, or the case that we have today, support of Airplay and app for iOS. However, Apple fans still can’t celebrate, as Airplay support, which allows streaming videos to be played on our Apple TV device, among others, is currently only available in Windows.

Development continues despite everything

Mac OS users will have to wait until next week to get the version for their Airplay compatible system, and will follow the version for Linux. This addition is in addition to the Chromecast support that was already added a few weeks ago. In addition, the creators of this version want to focus from now on offering the program on as many platforms as possible; so A version of Popcorn Time for iOS will be available from August, although only for jailbroken devices since it is unlikely that Apple will accept an app that uses torrent to obtain movies without a license. The app is native, so we can expect the same functionalities as the Android app but adapted to the iOS style.
