Samsung today celebrated the new edition of its Developer Conference in San Francisco, presenting several projects related to the Internet of Things (IoT), entertainment services, virtual reality and security.
Regarding the first point, the Internet of Things has presented new open APIs and tools for SAMSUNG ARTIKTM, an IoT platform that helps create and program connected smart products. The goal is that using these tools, data from any connected device or cloud service can be obtained, saved, and processed, helping to streamline the process of developing new ideas.
More information on the possibilities it offers can be found on the artik.io website.
As it could not be different, virtual reality has been one of the protagonists at the conference. They have discussed the Samsung Gear 360 camera, which we saw at MWC, and have presented development tools for televisions, which includes the Samsung Smart TV SDK, Samsung TV Toast.
Regarding security, they have expanded their Samsung KNOX security platform, to include more devices, also integrating into the Samsung Gear S2. They have also worked with its interoperability, and will include Tizen, in addition to android, so that its possibilities can be expanded.
