Skype Bots are now available for the Mac version and also for Skype web

It was in the past Build 2016, the developer event that Microsoft held last March, when the bots for Skype were presented in the preview phase as a new way to bring knowledge, products, services and entertainment to the Skype messenger . Until now, Skype bots have only been available on Android, iOS, and the Windows desktop app. As of today, Skype bots will also be available both for the Skype for Mac application and in its web version.

That is, Skype has pointed out that the availability of Skype bots preview for all these platforms is limited to certain markets: Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, India, New Zealand, Singapore and the USA.

In this sense, users from the rest of the world markets will not yet have access to Skype bots, but users from the markets that have been supported up to now will be able to access the bots, which in the case of the desktop application on Mac will have it through the Contacts section of the menu by selecting Add Bot to search or view a list of available bots, and in the case of the web version of Skype through the Discover Bots section, available in the sidebar on the left, where you will have access to a list of available bots.

Similarly, Skype has introduced two new bots: Murphy and Summarize. The first has the mission of enabling searches and creation of images for those questions that cannot be answered by text alone, and the second creates a summary of a website thinking of those users who do not have enough time to read its contents. in its entirety.

As we see, the boom in chat bots continues to increase, with the most recent case on Telegram, which financially rewards the most prominent and interesting bots.
