Google promised some time ago that there will be Android applications that will end up coming to Chrome OS, increasing the options in the completely cloud-based operating system. This is possible thanks to App Runtime for Chrome, development tools announced in this year’s Google I / O that allow developers to port their Android applications to Chrome OS.
Well, finally we have those applications that Google promised us. There are only four applications, and from the Chrome team they say that right now they are working with more Android developers so that more and more applications are coming to the operating system of those of Mountain View, but we cannot expect a whole flood of cover applications either.
The applications that have reached the Chrome Web Store in this way are the following:
- Evernote Notes with sync between all your devices
- I came The well-known video social network that we all know
- Duolingo Learn languages ββfor free and in a fun way
- Sight Words Help our little ones develop reading comprehension
We hope that more will come soon, but it is unlikely that we will see it as an explosion of Android applications in the Chrome Web Store. In any case, if you own a Chromebook this is very good news, so do not wait any longer and install the applications.
