The new and better Ubuntu mobile is now available for $ 370

If you are not convinced by Android, you do not want an iPhone, you are not attracted to Windows Phone and you have already discarded the old BlackBerry operating system, the world Ubuntu and its apps based on web technology are still there, a mobile platform that until now has not attracted much attention, but he is far from dead.

Today Canonical presents the Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu edition, available in for 370 dollars, with a link also for Russian customers who want to buy it.

It includes the latest version of its mobile operating system, the Ubuntu OTA 10, and it has a 5.7-inch, 1080p screen, 21.16-megapixel camera with a Sony sensor and 32-gigabyte internal memory. The processor is from Samsung, a Exynos 7420 Octa-core (the same as the S6 and S6 Edge +).

Ubuntu OTA 10 includes VPN support, and apps (web apps) can now access the accelerometer, camera, microphone and vibrations easily. The web browser allows you to select, copy, and paste content from the Internet, and native apps can use new color palettes.

The Dekko email client, created by Dan Chapman, and a GPS browser called uNav, designed by Marcos Costales, come pre-installed, as well as a calendar application.

As you can see, the functions that it offers from a software point of view do not attract attention for users of other operating systems, but it is a clear advance in the ubuntu world for mobile phones.
