ASUS returns to the fray in the segment of gaming phones with the launch of the new ROG Phone 5, promising high performance in its three different variants, all of them sharing almost the same features except for RAM, internal storage, and part designs. rear, and with it also the arrival of a secondary monochrome PM-MOLED display (for customization) at the rear for the two most advanced variants, leaving the most basic variant with the illuminated RGB logo.
It should not be forgotten that ASUS has been one of the first companies to bet on this segment of mobile phones, and given the excellent results achieved, it continues to bet on bringing the newest in mobile benefits to this segment, bringing the most premium to the most enthusiastic mobile games.
With more than enough capabilities to play
What do the three variants have in common? Using the Snapdragon 888 5G eight-core processor up to 2.84 GHz with the Adreno 666 GPU; the 6.78 ″ Samsung AMOLED FullHD + screen, compatible with HDR10 +, with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection; with a front camera of 24MP (f / 2.45) and set of rear cameras, with the main one under Sony IMX686 64MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 13MP (f / 2.5) sensor with 125 angle of view, as well as a 5MP macro camera (f / 2.0)
All three also have a maximum battery capacity of 6,000 mAh divided into two 3,000 mAn batteries, bringing support for a 65W fast charging system, although under the ultra-durable power management mode they will be able to get more hours of play.
Among other outstanding features is the integration of front stereo speakers, four microphones with noise reduction, 3.5mm jack connector, as well as two USB C 3.1 connectors (one of them located on the side for the connection of accessories, such as the new additional cooling accessory AeroActive Cooler 5), plus the best in connectivity, with 5G NSA / SA support up front, Bluetooth v5.2, Wifi 6E, Dual SIM and more.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 will come in the 8GB / 128GB, 12GB / 128GB and 16GB / 128GB variants starting at 799 euros, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro will only come with 16GB LPDDR5 and 512GB UFS 3.1 at the price of 1,199 euros, while the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate will come in a single configuration of 18 GB LPDDR5 and 512 GB UFS 3.1 at the price of 1399 euros.
ASUS also allows all of them to additionally have support for external hard drives. Some of the basic variants are already in the pre-order phase, while the Pro option will arrive in April, and the Ultimate option in May with the ROG Fan Gift Collection pack.
