We're continuing to expand the list of sites offering icons for free, and we're doing it today with toicon.com.
It is a project that was born in 2015 in Amsterdam, when a company was working for a client in the 3D printing sector and needed icons that represented different concepts, such as preheating, for example.
With this problem in hand, they began to design icons that represent actions, verbs, such as reading, updating, deleting … and created several series designed at 32px and cared to the last of them, although it is possible to find some of 64px.
They play with shapes and colors, although the tones and palettes can be edited to adapt to any design we have in our hands. They always report the source of the inspiration, in fact there is a series inspired by Disney, although 100% of all the material available there is unique, and licensed under Creative Commons.
They have managed to launch the project thanks to kickstarter, and now they have all the material available for free, asking only the authors for mention.
To use it you can both browse its categories and put a verb (in English) in the search engine that they offer on the main page, thus obtaining a wide list of various icons, both in color and black and white, all of them with the option of download and get information about the author and the series where it was created.
