If you are a regular user of Twitter, surely on more than one occasion you will have noticed the blue badges that the popular social network of microblogging places on the profile of public figures, large companies, the media, etc., with the aim of demonstrating the authenticity of the account, preventing anyone from posing as a celebrity.
So far, Dick Costolo, the CEO of the company (who has held the position since October 2010 and an account on the social network since May 2007) did not have a verified account. Undoubtedly, this situation was somewhat curious, considering that it is the CEO of Twitter. Costolo was frequently asked about this fact, so he was forced to clarify the situation by means of a tweet published in 2012, in which he stated the following: To all those who repeatedly ask why I’m not verified if I’m the CEO: I’m verified in my head, and Mom said that’s all that matters.
It seems that Costolo would have changed his mind, since recently (without any mention on his part) this blue badge has been incorporated into his profile on the social network, verifying that he really is the CEO of the company.
