We can now buy a Boston Dynamics robot puppy for $ 74,500

The Boston Dynamics robot dog has been the star of many viral videos in recent months, and now they have put it up for sale to any company that may need it.

After years of development, the company began renting it out to companies last year, and as of now, it can be purchased for $ 74,500.

They sell it as the most advanced mobile robot in the world, capable of going practically anywhere a human can, although its functions at the moment are very limited (surveying and data collection, mainly).

So far we have seen him create 3D maps of construction sites and look for errors in machines on offshore oil rigs, although it is also possible to see him in hospitals classifying patients with COVID-19 or working with a police bomb squad.

It can be customized with different sensors and programmed for patrols and inspections, so the possibilities are greater.

The idea is that companies buy it so it can go places where humans don’t want to or can’t. It could be used, for example, for inspection of sewers, or in very hot places, to film what is inside.

The robot gained its update and was renamed Spot 2.0, with more advanced navigation and autonomy functions.
