WhatsApp will allow you to silence notifications forever

Despite the fact that WhatsApp, the popular messaging service, owned by Facebook Inc, does not offer the news at the same level as its most direct rival, I know that it continues to work on some functions, which sooner or later will reach all users through the next updates.

As WABetaInfo is discovering in recent days through the code of the latest betas of the application for Android devices, WhatsApp intends to replace the option to mute chats for 1 year to Always, which will allow users to have always silenced notifications of those individual and group conversations about which they are not very interested, thus avoiding having to silence them every year.

It is, without a doubt, a significant improvement, considering that this service is used by more than 2,000 million users worldwide, and who else and who less, users are usually in several different groups.

But in addition, WhatsApp is also improving the new function of ephemeral messages, still in development. In this sense, the aforementioned publication indicates that the section where users can configure this feature is being improved, and that for the moment it will allow the messages of a chat conversation to disappear in seven days for everyone. There is still time ahead for this feature to be able to pick up some more improvements before it is finally released for all users.

Note that these two features are still under development, and are currently not functional for users upgrading to the latest beta versions.

Now we just have to hope that these and other functions will become a reality in future updates of the application, although the truth is that the news in WhatsApp is made a lot of begging until it becomes a reality, despite the fact that some of the functions that have been coming they have already been present in other less known messaging applications, such as QR codes to add new contacts or ephemeral messages.
